Hello Capital Stampers!
Happy Friday! I was a little late with my Lunchtime Live on Facebook today, but I wanted to showcase a technique that's useful if you want to prepare two cards at once. It's called the Split Card technique. If you want to catch my video, it's available here.
The technique is pretty simple. Start with half a sheet of Basic White (or Very Vanilla) cardstock, score it in half, and then stamp your images following the score line in the center. When you are done stamping, you can cut your cardstock in half on the score line, and then you will have two panels already decorated on one edge.
For this card, I used the retiring stamp set, Back to Back Blooms. I stamped the largest bloom in Fresh Freesia, the second largest in Pale Papaya, the upturned bloom in Polished Pink, and the leaves in Pear Pizazz.
The birthday sentiment is from Garden Birdhouses, and the thinking of you comes from Happy Thoughts, which is also retiring on June 30th.
For this set of cards, I used the Pretty Perennials stamp set, also retiring this month. I used the same color scheme, this time adding Sahara Sand for the centers of the Pale Papaya flowers, and a small flower center image in Balmy Blue. The happy sentiment also comes from that set. It's so versatile!
I will be featuring the Biggest Wish set in my June card class, so be sure to tune in to next week's Friday Lunchtime Live for more details!
Don't forget, the Connect, Craft & Collect Promotion is coming to an end on Monday, June 14th. You can earn $25 in additional host rewards with an order or workshop of $250 or more.
The retiring items in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog are only available while supplies last. Don't miss out! Click here to visit my online store. Use the host code PCR9ATPH for orders LESS than $150 and get some free Happy Mail from me!
Happy Stamping!
