Dragonfly Garden Sketch Challenge Card

Hi Capital Stampers!

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? I was super busy - and didn't have much time to spend in my stamp room. So in the brief time I did get, I decided to jump start my creativity with this week's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. You can check out their site here.

Here is the card I made. I love how it turned out!

I knew I wanted to use the Mint Macaron patterned paper from the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper. I adhered that to a Garden Green cardstock base. Then I added a strip of Calypso Coral cardstock on the right side, following the sketch. I stamped the wildflower image from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Garden Green ink on a strip of Basic White that measured 2" x 4 1/8" and cut that into three rectangles measuring 2" by 1 3/8". I layered those on Garden Green panels that are 2 1/8" by 1 1/2". Finally I stamped the sentiment from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set in Garden Green on a 1" strip of Mint Macaron. I flagged the left end with the Banners Pick-a-Punch and attached it with Stampin' Dimensionals.

This is a great layout you can use for cards of any occasion. The rectangles could be substituted with any other punch shapes or die cuts. Give it a try and see what you can create!

Happy Stamping!

Take Your Crafting to the Next Level

 Hi Capital Stampers!

I have exciting news! Even though Sale-a-Bration ended yesterday, Stampin' Up!© is keeping the deals coming with a new sale that begins today, and it's a good one.

Through March 31st, you can save 20% on a Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and a number of stamp set & die bundles. Wow!

The Mini has the same look and feel of the full size Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, just with a more compact footprint. If you already have the full size version, you will love the portability of the Mini. I keep mine within arm's reach, right on my stamp table. You can even take it with you to a crop, on vacation, or if you go stamping with friends! If you don't have the full size Machine, the Mini is a great way to get started with dry embossing and die cutting without making a sizable investment.

To go along with the Machine sale, a select number of stamp and die bundles are also available for 20% off. In addition, for this promotion only, Stampin' Up! is bringing back 3 popular bundles: Art Gallery, Celebrate Sunflowers, and Garden Wishes. They will be available as the discounted bundle price only while supplies last.

Here are the bundles included in the 20% off sale:
