Is creativity calling you?
I've never thought of myself as especially creative. But when I think about hobbies and activities I enjoy, they all involve a certain amount of creativity: coloring, puzzles, cross-stitching, writing and music. Then a co-worker invited me to my first Stampin' Up! workshop, and when I saw the card I'd just made with the stamps and ribbon and cardstock, I was hooked! I placed an order that night. I still remember when it arrived. I took it home and spread all the products out on my bed and started making my own cards.
I went to a lot more workshops after that one, and my collection of stamping products grew. But it wasn't just about buying stuff. I found that I really enjoyed the time I spent making cards and projects with other stampers. Sometimes it can be hard to interact with people you don't know well, but when you are at a class or workshop and everyone is there to stamp, you already all share something in common - a love of stamping and paper crafting! And isn't it fun to do something you love with other people who love doing it too?
It's been almost 20 years since that first card, and after a few years of purchasing other stamps and inks and papers from other companies, I found myself missing the high quality and easy coordination of Stampin' Up! products. Then I learned that Stampin' Up! Demonstrators get a discount on their purchases, so I decided to sign up. But the best part about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is getting to share my love of stamping and papercrafting with others, and help them discover their own creativity.
So I invite you to follow along with me as I continue on my crafting journey. I hope you will be inspired by the projects I create and want to make some of your own too!
Happy Stamping!
Michelle
