Sale-a-Bration 2023 - Dainty Flowers DSP

 Hi Friends!

I have been loving the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper that's available for FREE with a $50 order (before shipping and tax) - part of the Sale-a-Bration promotion going on now with Stampin' Up! I love the colors and the delicate, pretty flowers featured on one side, and the more subtle patterns on the other.

Take a closer look at this gorgeous paper here!

I tried a book-binding fold card using this paper and the Dragonfly Garden stamp set and coordinating Dragonflies Punch.

This card uses a card base that measures 4 1/4" by 11", scored at 5 1/2" as usual, but with an extra score line at 6 3/4". Fold on the center scoreline in one direction, then fold the cardstock back the other way on the 6 3/4" score line. This will leave a 1 1/4" section from the center on one side - this is the card front. Put some glue or Stampin' Seal on the inside of this section and adhere it closed. The card will open then on the 6 3/4" score line, leaving a smaller card "base" of 4 1/4" square.

I cut some of the Dainty Flowers paper in a 4" x 4" square and adhered it to the card front. I used a 1" x 4" piece of the Fresh Freesia polka-dot pattern to decorate the "book binding" portion on the left-hand side. From the Layering Circles dies, I cut a scalloped circle in Fresh Freesia and a layering circle in Basic White, on which I stamped the wildflower image from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Fresh Freesia, stamped off once. The sentiment is stamped in Starry Sky. Finally, I stamped a dragonfly in Old Olive and punched it out with the Dragonflies punch, attaching it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Here's another version of the same card with different colors and paper patterns. The hardest part of making these cards was choosing which of the patterns to use - I love them all!

You may notice that the Dainty Flowers DSP includes two designs that have the look of blended watercolors and ink splatters. If you're thinking - what would I do with those?? - how about using it to die cut some floral images? I pulled out my Meadow Dies and did just that, and I love how it turned out!!

This card also uses another pattern found on the "B" side of the Dainty Flowers paper - this one in Blushing Bride - adhered to an Early Espresso card base. I used a 3/4" x 4" strip of the Fresh Freesia polka-dot pattern as an accent behind the white panel, die cut from the Scalloped Contours Dies and attached with Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Sentimental Park stamp set, new in the January-April Mini Catalog, stamped here in Fresh Freesia.

I love how delicate and pretty the card looks - like it took a lot of time and effort to put together - but it was really quick and easy! The paper does all the work. Even better, you can earn this paper for FREE when you place a $50 order from me. But don't wait too long - the Sale-a-Bration promotion only lasts until February 28th, and the free products are available only while supplies last!
